Description: This product is a colorless or light yellow clear liquid.

Pharmacological Actions: Pharmacodynamics Florfeniol is a broad-spectrum antibiotic of amide alcohol and a bacteriostatic agent. It acts by binding to the 50S subunit of the ribosome to inhibit the synthesis of bacterial protein. It has strong antibacterial activity against a variety of Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria. Pasteurella hemolyticus, Pasteurella multocida and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae are highly sensitive to florfeniol. The antibacterial activity of florfeniol against many microorganisms in vitro is similar to or stronger than that of thiamphenicol. Some bacteria that are resistant to amide alcohols due to acetylation, such as Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae, may still be drug- resistant to fluorobenzene.

 It is mainly used for bacterial diseases of pigs, chickens and fish caused by sensitive bacteria, such as respiratory diseases of cattle and pigs caused by Pasteurella hemolyticus, Pasteurella multocida and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae. Typhoid fever and paratyphoid fever, chicken cholera, pullorum and Escherichia coli diseases caused by Salmonella; fish bacterial sepsis, enteritis and red skin disease etc caused by fish pasteurella, vibrio, Staphylococcus aureus, Aeromonas hydrophila, enteritis bacteria.

Pharmacokinetics Florfeniol is quickly absorbed by oral administration, and the therapeutic concentration can be reached in the blood after about 1 hour, and the peak blood concentration can be reached within 1 to 3 hours. The bioavailability is over 80%. Florfeniol is widely distributed in animals and can penetrate the blood-brain barrier. It is mainly excreted in urine in its original form, and a small amount is excreted in feces.

Medicine Interactions: (1)

Macrolides and lincosamides have the same target of action as this product, both of which are combined with the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, and can have mutual antagonism when used in combination.

(2)It may antagonize the bactericidal activity of penicillins or aminoglycoside drug, but it has not been proven in animals.

Indications and Usage:Amido alcohol antibiotics. Used for Pasteurella and Escherichia coli infections.

Dosage and Administration: Based on this product. By drinking:  given 1ml to 1.5ml per Liter of wter for chickens, for 5 days.

Adverse Reactions: (1)This product has a certain immunosuppressive effect when used higher than the recommended dose.

Warnings and Precautions:(1)It's forbidden for the laying period of chickens for human consumption.

(2) Use with caution in breeders. It has embryo toxicity, and it should be used with caution for livestock during pregnancy and lactation.

(3)Banned for animals during the vaccination or severely impaired immune function period.

(4)Animals with renal insufficiency should appropriately reduce the dose or extend the interval between administrations.

Withdrawal Period:  5 days for chickens.
